About Us:
We are a small family business composed of Brent Weaver, Ann Hansen-Weaver and Toby Hansen(husband, wife and son, respectively).
Gringo Star was originally the idea of Brent, who seeing a lack of small guitars for younger and/or smaller students of classical guitar, decided to search for potential sources of high quality small guitars
Brent, Ann and Toby all enjoy international travel and it was while travelling with his son Toby through the Patzcuaro region of Michuacan, Mexico in 2004 that Brent had the idea of encouraging Mexican artisans to create smaller guitars.
Since then, the Hansen-Weaver family has developed strong relationships with several of the guitar making families in Paracho
